Now back home safely on the rock following what can only be described as a productive and successful Ulster Grand Prix.
To walk away with an 8th and 4 - 5th places is a credit to Jamie and the team. The only hiccup in the whole week was the incident on the warm up
lap of the Superstock race where Lee Johnston’s knee slider came off and bounced through the screen hitting Jamie in the chest and dinting the tank which stopped him from starting the race!!!
Apart from that, both bikes performed really well and to think that the R6 engine is still as strong as the day it went in at the S 100 in July last year!!
This is a real credit to the team at Raceways who have to be praised for supplying a very strong performing engine. Well done Steve.
Even with great bikes they still have to be ridden and Jamie has certainly done this for us. He has produced some great riding skills throughout the season but not only that he also made strong decisions off track which now shows he can mix it up with the top lads in the road race scene.
Can we say a massive thanks to Thommo and Plod for all their hard work over the last week in very trying conditions I think the only thing we didn’t get weather wise was snow!!
Even in the adverse weather conditions both bikes were race prepped and presented in a professional way, well done lads!!
It’s time to start thinking about next season already, the R6 will now be stabled as we need to look at the Motec system and a total overhaul. We may possibly give the R1 one more run at a meeting to be discussed before we need to do the same.
Can we finally mention our friends from team KTS, Kevin and Simon thanks for all your help this week at the UGP really appreciate your support.
John & Zandra 😀✊🏁

Back in the Port heading for the Emerald Isle and the Ulster paddock. All things equal should be there by 1 in the morning.
Jamie and the KTS boys arrive tomorrow afternoon so it might be a easy morning and wait for some help.
Plod arrives Monday afternoon with Thommo arriving Tuesday morning after his BSB duties.
Will keep you posted on the set up and practice, looking at the forecast it’s a good job we’ve plenty of umbrellas but let’s look on the bright side we’re 4 days away from practice!!
Regards John ✊😀

Well folks there is a typical Manx saying ‘Traa-Dy -Liooar’ Time Enough!!
If you would of said 5 podiums and a 5th place at the start of the S100 we would of taken it. So, 3 seconds 2 thirds and the 5th was a great performance by Jamie and the Yamaha machines. We believe it should of been 6 podiums only for the slight off on the Wednesday evening which proved painful on the Thursday afternoon.
I’m sure Jamie won’t mind us mentioning that he’s looking for drive out of the 3 slow corners but we’re looking for a bloody big catapult to get him off the line 😂.
So following on from Jamies good form at the NW, TT and S100 we now get ready for the Ulster GP. This is a course that suits Jamie so it’s all about us getting the settings right on the day.
Back to the S100, a big thanks to Thommo and Graeme for looking after the bike with Alex on the Motec. Linda and Marion for once again providing excellent food for the team and families. To Zandra and Harvey for my absense once again during the week.
Promise to update on a regular basis when we’re on Irish soil for the UGP.
Thanks to Tracys Photo’s for the shot of Jamie leaving Joey’s.
Regards John& Zandra ✊✊👍

Couple of great results for Jamie on the R1 & R6 last night 3rd in the 1000 and a great battle with Dean Harrison to finish 2nd on the 600.
Let’s hope for more of the same today as long as the weather improves.

Second practice session all done in fine dry weather.
Jamie 3rd in the 1000 and 2nd in the 600, both bikes going well.
Jamie also finished 1st on the 650 for KTS.
Big thanks to Al from the Black Dub for organising the canvas print for the hospitality awning and Peter Callister for providing the photo.
1st race of the meeting is tomorrow night let’s hope the weather is kind to us!!

Last night was the first practice for the 2019 Southern 100. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t kind and rain started as the 1000cc practice session got underway. Jamie decided to pull in after 1 lap as the surface was too greasy to ride on dry tyres.
For the 600, full wets we’re the call and after 4 laps Jamie qualified 2nd quickest behind Dead Harrison.
Let’s hope for drier conditions tonight.
Will keep you all posted following the practice.
John& Zandra.

Time to take stock now that the chequered flag has been waved for the 2019 TT.
If someone had said we’d have 5 top 10 finishes, along with Jamie establishing PB’s in all classes, joining the 130 club, achieving the fastest lap by a Yamaha machine on the TT course and winning the Privateers Championship, think we would have taken that at the start of practice week!!! Not to mention the brilliant 2nd place finish to Michael Dunlop in the Supertwin race for the KTS team.
Can Zandra and myself thank Thommo, Steve and Alex for looking after the bikes Linda and Marion for providing the catering along with everyone for your comments over the fortnight.
Thanks to Brian Coole for the tyres in yesterday’s Senior race.
A big thank you to all our sponsors too many to mention your help is very much appreciated.
A special mention to Zandra for putting up with my absence over the last month and to Harvey for not being at home over the same period.
Last but not least Jamie, what a special talent with a cool head. All at PreZ Racing are fortunate to have a great rider who is maturing all the time.
A rider needs family support and Jamie certainly has with Sophie at his side along with Lilly and Stanley. Mum Sally and sister Jordon are always at hand with dad Paul listening and watching from back home.
To finish, apologies to the Southern 100 club for missing today’s Post TT but we think the club will understand as it’s been a really hard couple of days. PreZ Racing will be refreshed in readiness for the S100 on the Colas Billown circuit in July.
Apologies if we’ve missed anybody but hope you’ve all enjoyed following Jamie and PreZ racing during the last couple of weeks.
Keep looking for posts and sharing if you will.
Regards
John and Zandra ✊✊🏁👍😀

Well what a good day for the team and Jamie, a 5th in the Supersport and a 9th in the Superstock. Further to this Jamie finished the day missing out to Michael Dunlop by 1.2 seconds in the Lightweight!!
All in all a great day for PreZ Racing and the Yamaha brand, let’s hope for another good run in the Senior.
Another big thanks to Nick and Mark from E&S Plumbing Services for the tyres in the Supersport race 2 and Shaun Yates for supplying the tyres for the Stock race, thanks guys.
Let’s hope the weather will be kind until the Senior race concludes around lunchtime🤞🤞
