Ady Gell & Cat Sayle would like to announce that we are both moving to new premises and opening the Blue Moon Gift Shop - Ramsey and Ady's new bedding store Zeds Bedding at 18 Parliament Street (the former Shakti Man building).

We hope to be open early July and will be stocking everything you expect from both Blue Moon and Looney's bedding section, with a few added extras and surprises.

And we're done...

Thank you to the hundreds of lovely customers who made the last month bearable and successful, as much as a closing down sale could be. And the thousands of customers who have supported Looneys in the town for 85 years.

Thank you for all your shared memories, stretching right back to my grandparents who started Looneys of Ramsey. And for the cards, gifts and good wishes for us and our staff. And Santa.

For those of you who rely on Andy, our curtain & blind manager, for all your window needs, he will be working for Millichaps and they will have our Belfield curtain range and can sort blinds out too.

I hope to have some news to share next week of my new store concentrating on bedding and soft furnishings (not curtains), with a little extra surprise in there too. We should be open in Ramsey by early July and will stock all the bedding suppliers you know here plus some new additions.

TT Guests coming?

Although it's the last two days, if you need any basic bed linen for your TT visitors we have had a top-up delivery (in preparation for my new bedding store in the Street coming soon!) and the shelves are well stocked.

Today and Saturday from 9am to 5pm.

This is a long shot, but an unbelievable bargain if it works for you. We have a collection of custom-made wood and faux wood venetian blinds that for various reasons didn't get fitted in their intended windows.

The recess measurements are in the pictures, and you may be able to adjust them down a little. They would originally each be in the hundreds of pounds but depending on size we'll sell them between £30 and £70.

It's only a bargain if it fits your window, but check them out and let us know if you want more info or pictures of a specific blind.

We are fast running out of certain stock. Only a little left in jeans, polo shirts, table oilcloth, mats or rugs. There are quite a few trousers left, some socks and the winter stuff is out - Heatholders socks, christmas stock etc. And some good deals in ready-made blinds, mainly rollers but some venetians.

We suspect there is only a week or so left in our closing down sale and will let you know when we've decided.

We have taken the difficult decision to cease trading once we have finished our upcoming Sale.

We would like to thank our dedicated staff and all our customers for their loyalty and continued support throughout the years. Our Closing Down Sale starts Thursday 25th April with vastly discounted prices throughout the store.

The Manx Model Boat Club are holding a one day exhibition in the Old Courthouse, Ramsey tomorrow.

It mainly showcases lifeboats to celebrate the bicentennial of the RNLI, but it may also be the only chance ever to view our very own Geoff Gell's huge model of Nelson's "Agamemnon" built over three years.

I've tried to have it in a shop window display here, to no avail, so this may be it's only public showing! 😂
