So I have been into comics and superheros from a young age, mainly because my bigger brother is also a geek! I always had a fascination with superheroes as I spent a lot of my childhood in hospital poorly sick with Crohn's Disease, so I guess I was in awe of these people who were not only well but super awesome too! (plus the outfits are all epic....) I've been into making Cosplay for about 15 years, After attending my first Comicon at 18 (a while ago now!!) I gave it a go with bought costumes, then went on to adding smaller pieces and building up to making full costumes, that have won several awards. I went to Arts college and spent time with my grams and got to grips with a few techniques to help me design and make my own gear. I have made dresses and jewellery for a few years and when I bought my own place I made a workshop to allow me to develop some prop making skills. I'm very into recycling and upcycling where possible and am always keen to learn new skills and meet new people. Since getting older I have had a family and this is where I found a passion for making small peoples clothes and costumes. My poor small human has already been over 50 characters and she isn't even 2. I am comfortable with presenting on stage, delivering body confidence and starting out in cosplay presentations and workshops. I have led the stage and presented for several competitions and have judged over 20 competitions so I am pretty confident in this area. I am up for discussions of presenting to schools and groups regarding body positivity and living with chronic illness, anything to help spread the message. I am less inclined to accept modelling offers if not attached to a character-I will not pose with my arse out so don't ask.
