It was hard to tumble out of bed this morning. But I did grab my cup of ambition, because that’s what she would’ve wanted. 🩷

I stayed up way too late just sitting there listening to her songs. It’s hard to even put into words how it feels when someone you’ve looked up to your whole life is suddenly gone. Someone who inspired so much of who you are without ever even knowing you.

But man… I bet that concert in Heaven last night was PHENOMENAL. ✨

I’ve been sitting here trying to keep the tears from falling down my face, but this one hurts. 🩷

Losing Dolly feels personal. 💔

If you’ve ever walked into an SSB store, followed me on social media, bought one of my designs or honestly just know me at all… then you know how much Dolly has inspired me. She’s woven into the heart of SSB and has influenced my designs, my style and even the way I try to live my life.

One of our favorite sayings has always been, “What would Dolly do?”

And honestly? Dolly would do whatever the hell Dolly wanted to do. 😂🩷 She was unapologetically herself, and I’ve always loved that about her. Her kindness, her light, her sparkle, her heart, her humor… she had a way of being completely OVER THE TOP while still being one of the most genuine souls.

And OF COURSE, the fashion. ✨

The rhinestones. The fringe. The big hair. The details. The color. The sparkle. The MORE IS MORE of it all. Dolly taught generations of women that you don’t have to tone yourself down to make other people comfortable, and Lord knows I took that lesson to heart. 😂

Telling the girls the news was hard. We hugged. We cried. And tonight we’ll put Dolly’s records on the record player, probably cry some more, and just be thankful that this world got 80 years of her magic.

We already have another trip to Dollywood planned for November, but I know walking through those gates this time is going to feel completely different. 🩷

There will never be another Dolly.

Thank you for the music. Thank you for the sparkle. Thank you for showing girls like me that being a little too much is sometimes exactly enough.
