I wanted to come on and just add a more personal note to the pinned post in the group.

I really hope you will come and join me in the next stage of my journey with The Cloth Cutter. If not that's totally cool and I wish you well. 🙂

But I have a feeling 2025 is going to be a more positive and inspiring year. Please come and find me over 🙏😊❤

It is with a heavy heart that now I have purchased some of the intellectual property of SMS Ltd. I have decided to close this group and the SMS social media accounts.

Sew Me Something is very sadly no more and I have to focus my attention now on what comes next. The old SMS patterns are still available from The Cloth Cutter in PDF format with the option to have the pattern printed out and sent to you.

The New Membership Club is now open as I have finally been able to retrieve all the old video courses and tutorials. So you can find them Inside the Cutting Room at The Cloth Cutter Website.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support and wonderful, positive messages you have sent me over the last 13 years the business was running, especially over the last few months.

But I need to move on and continue my journey with The Cloth Cutter. I truly hope you will come and join me there and in my new studios where I am continuing to teach and share what I love - designing and making clothes. 🙏☺️❤🧵🪡👗

After I posted back in August to let everyone know about the closure of Sew Me Something I have been inundated with literally thousands of wonderfully positive and supportive emails and messages. They meant so very much to me when I was at my absolute lowest and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support.
I know it has been a while since I have been able to put up a post letting you know what has happened to Sew Me Something Ltd. and this has been for lots of complex and legal reasons. However, I believe this is beginning to get sorted out now as I have finally been able to legitimately and legally purchase some of the assets belonging to SMS Ltd from the liquidators. This includes the intellectual property, such as email addresses and social media accounts, so I can finally put up a new post.
I want to reiterate how truly sorry I am for this situation and continue to send my sincere apologies to any one caught up and impacted by this. The last few months have been extremely hard and taken their toll on me in a serious way. But I have also learned who my friends are and have been supported through this awful situation by some truly amazing people. They have given me the support and encouragement to start all over again.
But if you would really rather not hear from me you can always unfollow and unsubscribe - it's that simple. The Sew Me Something social media accounts will be closed by the end of the year.
Part one of my new website at www.theclothcutter.co.uk is open, where you can see the workshops, courses and masterclasses I will be running next year. I will be adding more soon in terms of new patterns and kits. I am hoping to re-open the Online Sewing Studio while I transfer the membership content to my new website. So you will be able to access all the original video tutorials. If you have any questions about this or anything else you can contact me through the new website and I will be as open and honest as I can.

Since Sew Me Something took over Longbarn Village last year, I and the rest of the Team have worked tirelessly to make the business work in this new location.

For a variety of reasons, this has been much harder work than we originally anticipated and could ever have foreseen. So it is with an incredibly heavy heart that I am letting you know that I have put Sew Me Something Ltd. in the hands of the Administrators. This means I have had to close the website and remain silent until the legalities could be sorted out. Which is why a lot of the comments and speculation on Social Media have been incredibly hurtful and upsetting.

As I am sure you must be aware this is leaving me with significant debt. So I have to start again. The only way I know how to do this is to carry on making patterns and running workshops which is why I will be setting up a new studio. Making clothes and sharing the knowledge I have gained over the last 35 years is all I really know how to do. So I will be going back to basics and will continue to do this from my new studio at Blackminster Business Park just outside Evesham.

***Please be reassured that any workshops you have already booked with Sew Me Something Ltd. will still be going ahead as planned. I will be honouring as many as I can, just from my new location.***

My sincere apologies go out to anyone caught up and impacted by this. Believe me this is not a route I have taken willingly or lightly. We had a vision to create something that was far bigger than us to help and enable other people to find joy in creativity and making. To a certain extent I think we achieved that but at a much, much higher cost in terms of money, emotional stress and physical health than I could ever have imagined. The legacy of this will be with me for some years to come and I have to acknowledge and accept that. But I also need to make things right. Which I will be able to if others are willing to work with me.

Thank you for supporting Sew Me Something for the last 12 years and for your patience and understanding while I try to regroup.

With best wishes
Jules
