1 year ago today, I closed the pink door to a piece of my dream: Pink Moon Atelier, my little brick-and-mortar shop.

Through Pink Moon Atelier, I was gifted the honor of witnessing the pure joy on people’s faces every time they walked in. Their faces lit up like a child entering a candy store, walking around healing their inner child one step at a time. I experienced that same joy every time someone stepped out of the dressing room, wearing the biggest smile, twirling around while saying, “Omg, it fits!”

From size-inclusive pastel clothing to cute little bags, purses, stationery, and so much more~ not only was I able to share my love of cute with you all, but your love and support also allowed me to uplift so many other women-owned small businesses.

Truthfully, I still miss my pink shop very much. I still struggle to walk/drive past the old space, and looking back at photos of myself in the store makes my heart yearn and ache for something that is physically no longer mine.

After closing Pink Moon, my mental health took a dive, and that is where I’ve been for the past year. I only started making consistent content again over the last three months, and I am slowly finding my happiness step-by-step. I still stumble backward into my shell at times, but I am working hard to climb my way out of this grief and depression hell hole.

So on the anniversary of my closing I’m sharing my final closing routine from my very last day of Pink Moon Atelier.

Huge shoutout to Hanbok Witch I Fashion, Make Up, Music for being with me during the final days, and to Enrico Syquia Estantino for always being there to catch my tears, even yesterday.

We're here to show you that growing up does not have to be scary. You don't have to lose your whimsy, just because you're an adult and realizing, this is a sign of maturity.

Enrico Syquia Estantino was the one that really made me realize I was holding myself back by not wearing the colors I love 💕

So wear whatever you want- it's worth it!

Hi, I’m Jane. I’m 5’3”, 200lbs, and I am 45 years old.

I’m here to show you that you do not have to sacrifice your style for comfort and mobility.
I am a big fan of pastels and cutesy styles - so that is what I typically wear.

I want to inspire others to dress for themselves without feeling silly or weird because you deserve to be happy in your style.

This is another one of my go-to looks and you will most likely see me dressed similarly out in the wild~

Hi, I’m Jane, I’m 5’3”, 200lbs, and typically wear size XL/1X, 14/16
I am a big sucker for cute pastel clothes, but I never really started wearing it out until I was 40.

I wish I had started sooner because when I was younger, my tolerance for discomfort, pain, and horrible clothing texture was a looooot higher. But now that I’m 45, I find myself seeking clothes at are comfortable and easy to move in. However, I refuse to sacrifice style!

While I typically don’t wear pants, it was still fun to put together this outfit.

Don’t forget to save this video so you can come back to it when you need it!

I use tape to help me fix my eyeliner when it’s not turning out the way I want to or if it’s not symmetrical. I’ve been using this method for years and honestly, I haven’t cleaned up my eyeliner any other way ever since.

Hi, I’m Jane and I’m a breast cancer survivor.

I was diagnosed in January 2020 (when I was 39, almost 40), had a lateral mastectomy (removed only 1 breast), then went through chemo and radiation. After all of that, at the end of November 2020, I was told that I am in remission.

However, due to having HER+ breast cancer I had to get rid of my hormones from my body or else the cancer will come back. I did not opt for a hysterectomy back then because I was afraid of how it would affect my mental health. After speaking with my care team and husband, I decided to be put on medically induced menopause because as one of my doctors put it:

“You can always stop getting the injections but you cannot just sew back on your ovaries” in case my mental health gets really bad.

While it is very annoying to have to drive to the hospital every month, I’d much rather be cancer free.
