Behind every βTeacher left the group.β β€οΈβπ©Ή
What may seem like a simple message to one person can become dozens of messages to a teacher in a single day.
βMaβam, naiwan po ang baon.β
βMaβam, nawawala po ang notebook.β
βMaβam, pakisabihan po ang classmates.β
βMaβam, pakibigay ulit ang reviewer.β
Each concern may be valid. But when almost every concernβbig or smallβis directed to the teacher, even beyond school hours, the emotional and mental load gradually becomes overwhelming.
Teachers are not only answering messages. They are preparing lessons, checking papers, creating learning materials, attending meetings, completing reports, guiding learners, and still trying to make time for their own families and personal well-being.
This is why many teachers choose to limit or leave class group chats. It is not because they do not care. It is because healthy boundaries allow them to continue giving their best inside the classroom.
Parents and teachers share one goal: the success and well-being of every child. Achieving that goal requires partnership built on mutual respect, understanding, and clear communication.
Let us remember:
β
Not every concern requires an immediate message.
β
Some matters can wait until school hours.
β
Parents have responsibilities at home, just as teachers have responsibilities in school.
β
Respecting boundaries helps protect the well-being of everyone involved.
This is not about parents versus teachers.
It is about creating a culture where teachers can teach, parents can parent, and both can work together in the best interest of every child. β€οΈ
