Happy Women’s Day 🤍
Today we celebrate the beauty of women, the strength of women, the courage of women, and the compassion of women.
We also commemorate a moment in South African history where women fought for equality more than 60 years ago. However, South African women are still being oppressed and being subject to gender-based violence. South African women are still not experiencing the freedom that the women who marched to the Union Buildings in 1956 had fought for. Today serves as a reminder that we need to keep on fighting.
Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them. 🤍
