I have decided to share my love of knitwear with all those who feel the same. A absolute love of natural fabrics and Fibre and all things authentic
Rugged Coast started out as a idea for my own label in bamboo knitwear, while I was living in New Zealand and starting my parenting journey with my first little one. I received a gift of a bamboo bay blanket for baby and completely fell in love..you think I'm joking but it truly was to me just the most beautiful softest most gorgeousthing I have ever seen and in that moment I knew this was the medium I would eventually make my signature tag. (having studied fashion and working in retail/styling there) I soon realised that it will take time to bring my dreams to fruition.
However in my journey from NZ to SA, all the side tracks and by ways live throws at you I have had the honor of learning much of the industry of which I am such a fan and also to find amazing people and stockists all over the country and abroad.

So now I am starting Rugged Coast..not as a complete label as I had dreamed it but as the start of that dream. I will offer for resale, wholesale and supply limited quantities of beautiful things I find and that I would wear.. I will happily share my styling tips and advise, and also will happily share any contacts or connections I have built over the years in my research and purchasing..

I hope for some out there this will resonate and in time I will build Rugged Coast to where I saw it all those years ago sitting on a foreign shore dreaming of home with my son playing at my feet...

There is really nothing I love more than the feel of natural Fibre Knits. It makes my little heart so happy when I touch them and best of all is to wear them - like shrugging on a HUG🙂.

This piece is Sage Green with stand up ribbing at neck also at cuff and hem. Easy loose fit. Perfect with high rise jeans or smart track pant and sneakers. Throw a woolen scarf or cotton jacket over the top to complete your look. A pearl or two will also add some panache...
