MISS & MR JNR, UNIVERSAL & SIR SOUTH AFRICA 2024 CROWNED IN PRETORIA WEST
Pretoria West, 24th March 2024 - The 25th Jubilee Annual crowning event of the Miss & Mr Jnr South Africa pageant 2024 as well as the Miss & Mr Universal South Africa Pageant took place at the ACPP Hall, marking a significant milestone in the history of pageantry in South Africa.
Founded in 2000 by Carolyn Baldwin, the Miss & Mr Jnr South Africa pageant aimed to restore the authenticity of pageantry in the country while providing a fair platform for contestants. With over 22 years of history, the pageant has crowned over 8500 winners across various PAGEANTS SA events and engaged in over 500,000 charity events, benefiting over 4 million individuals to date.
This year's event showcased a unique approach to philanthropy, with contestants actively involved in securing sponsorships to support Dignity Dreams NPO, providing washable and reusable sanitary pads to those in need, and fundraising for tertiary education fees for deserving individuals in their communities as well as supporting The African Queen Foundation with pre-loved clothing and stationary for the school we support in Pomene in Mozambique each year. With more than 5 tons of clothing and stationary collected, we are thrilled in the change we will bring to the small rural community of Pomene.
The pageant winners, together with their runners-up, are bestowed with various titles, empowering them to engage in charity and community work within their regions. Activities include visiting hospitals, AIDS homes, children's and old age homes, as well as participating in fundraising events.
The judging process, held at the ACPP Hall, comprised personal interviews and ramp walks featuring Casual Wear and Evening Wear segments.

In addition to local commitments, the winners have the honour of representing South Africa at international pageants, including Little & Mr/Miss Teen Universe/World, Globe, Planet & International in Turkey in May 2024.
