As we celebrate a month of design, art and creativity in the Mother City, my Volvo XC40 reflects so much of what I love and appreciate in good design.

Thoughtful clean design, sustainable textiles, smart parking features, the quiet power of an electric car and all its technology built around safety. Making it the safest car for my cubs.

Last week we celebrated the and .capetown. Wow — what a week of creative delights.

We kicked off Furniture Week with an event at our flagship store, precinct hosting the very talented Tanisha Neil from , who presented her latest chair collection, the “John Chair,” sweetly named after her father. With Gavin on the decks. The chair is still in store, so please do come and experience it. Then it was off to jury the Cape Town Furniture Week Design Prize, alongside fellow judges , and There were so many incredibly talented candidates, and it was fascinating to see such varied perspectives on heritage, ritual and craftsmanship. Congratulations to the winner, their Koppie Chair. The winners received their prize at an incredible closing ceremony held in the old Standard Bank building on St George’s Mall — a truly spectacular setting.

I then nipped back to catch everything happening at the . It all began with powerful show, “Progression,” held at the iconic St George’s Cathedral — an incredibly moving experience set in the heart of one of Cape Town’s most significant heritage sites. From there, it was off to the Art Fair Venissage to take in all the art — and, of course, the fashion. With my friend, , who has now become my annual Art Week date. We wrapped up our Friday with a great party at stunning venue . And then our finally Art Week was wrapped up with an intimate exhibition by , with a wonderfully vibrant street party - Dada on the decks.

Thank you to all the incredible creatives who opened their doors to us this week, and to all the amazing studios and galleries we had the privilege of visiting. Until next year!

Took a stunning drive in my to Nieuwe Estate to join at her beautiful event, beautifully named “The Gathering”

And that is was. A meeting of entrepreneurs, female founders and creatives in various fields.

What an incredible afternoon and really inspiring. I am always amazed at the creativity and diversity of entrepreneurs in Africa and how much we are doing to build this continent.

Also lovely to have a good girly catch up with my dear friend .
