Here's something I've learned.

We often don't show up because we're worried we will say the wrong thing.

Whether someone is grieving, sitting in a hospital, going through a divorce, facing a job loss, or simply having a hard season, you don't need to have the perfect advice.

Just be there.

Send the message. Make the call. Sit with them. Drop off a meal. Listen more than you speak.

People rarely remember the perfect words.

They remember who showed up.

Sometimes your presence is the greatest gift you can give.

My boys make me laugh until my stomach hurts, challenge the way I think, and teach me lessons I never expected to learn.

School holidays mean slowing down, making memories, and soaking up this precious time together. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
