Tigerline began with a simple purpose: to raise funds to help protect the tigerfish of Jozini from gill-netting. That passion grew into a brand for Fishing, Adventure and Bush, with Conservation and Community firmly held in its heart.

We believe caring for Africa means caring for its people, too. Respecting local knowledge. Supporting local craftsmanship and livelihoods. Recognising that healthy wild places and thriving communities belong together.

Our commitment is to keep that purpose at the centre of what we build, and to help the next generation discover a love for the outdoors that inspires them to protect it.

Chris headed to the Vaal in search of yellows, but the river had other plans.

Flowing through the golden, high-altitude plateaus of the South African Highveld, the Vaal cuts across the landscape like a silver ribbon — a magnificent backdrop to any day on the water.

Then came the surprise: an unexpected grass carp.

Not the fish he set out for, but very happily welcomed. A good fish, beautiful country and one of those moments that reminds us why we keep coming back.
