☀️ Suns out - time to take your Pikler back outside! ☀️

It’s been a loooong winter for all of us and your Pikler may be feeling it too.

If the wood is looking a little dry and in need of some love, all you need is to give it a quick clean with warm soapy water and once dry, wipe down with an exterior furniture wax (Woodoc have some great options) or use a natural wax like an orange oil (we love ProNature South Africa wax balm - smells like a bowl of summer ripe oranges too 🍊) and wipe over the wooden sections of your Pikler and slide. **Note - please take care not to apply wax to the climbing rungs as it could make them very slippery.

Watching them made me smile.

One minute they’re collecting leaves. The next they’re making lunch for the whole family, with a side of muddy tea.

It reminded me how little children actually need when they’re given the time and space to play.

One proud little helper 🙂

One minute they’re in your arms. The next they’re handing you flowers from the kitchen counter like they’ve been running the place for years!

The magic of a Learning Tower isn’t just that it brings little ones up to your level. It’s that it gives them a place in the everyday moments. Making breakfast. Helping with dinner. Handing over flowers or ingredients while baking!

And somehow, the simplest moments become the ones you remember most 🧡

Create a cosy story-time corner in 10 minutes 📙✨

Turn any quiet corner into a little reading nook your kids can wander into on their own… or call you into when they want to snuggle up together.

As the days get cooler, it’s these slower, softer moments that start to matter most.

It doesn’t need much, it’s all about layering. A rug to ground the space, a small bookshelf to a store their well-loved stories and of course some plump cushions to sink into.

Add a warm glow, fairy lights or a little lamp, to make it feel calm and tucked away from the rest of the house.

Keep everything at their height so it feels like an intentional space just for them.

And if you want to take it one step further…make it a phone-free corner.

A small basket by the nook. Phones go in.
So when you’re in that space, reading, chatting, just being…
they know they have all of you 🧡
