Dit was vir my so lekker om hierdie Leocé look vir Shimmy Isaacs te skep vir die Silwerskermtoekennings. Iets met persoonlikheid, ’n bietjie drama, baie karakter — en natuurlik daardie sprankel wat net sý kan dra.

Couture moet nooit die persoon oorskadu nie. Dit moet wys wie hulle reeds is.

Borrelend. Sprankelend. Bold. En heeltemal Shimmy.

Die Silwerskerm fees is elke jaar een van die hoogtepunte op ons kalender, nie net vir die g***s van die aand nie, maar vir die amazing mense wat ons die voorreg kry om aan te trek en saam mee te werk.

Hierdie jaar was geen uitsondering nie.

Dit was vir my n ongelooflike voorreg om saam met die wonderlike Reandi Grey te kon werk en hierdie uitrusting spesiaal vir die aand te skep.

Die sagte gedrapeerde top, saam met ’n vol tule-romp, met baie vere en kleure weerspieël tenvolle Reandi se pragtige en spontane persoonlikheid. Dankie Reandi dat jy my vertrou het met hierdie visie n werklikheid te maak. Jy is werklik een van die lekkerste mense om mee saam te werk, en ek is ongelooflik trots dat ek ’n klein deel van jou Silwerskerm-aand kon wees. Baie geluk ook met jou Silwerskermfees toekenning vir die beste aanbieder in n realiteits program! Jy verdien dit uit en uit!

Laaste maar nie die minste nie… baie dankie aan my absolute amazing en super talentvolle span. Niks van die is ooit moontlik sonder julle nie. As ek sê ek is uit die veld geslaan bedoel ek letterlik uit Loftus VersFELD met almal se ongelooflike terugvoer. WOW julle. DANKIE!

As kind het ek gedroom van hierdie geleentheid - om eendag n Anthem te kan sing op Loftus! Gisteraand was n pinch myself moment. Ek het heeltyd vir my jonger self gesê “Kyk Lee… ons doen dit”

My senuwees was deur die dak. Ek was kort van asem voor die tyd. Ek wou lag, huil, gil en spring sommer als in een. Maar die oomblik toe ek my pak aantrek het die kalmte ingeskop.

Ek wil net n baie groot shoutout gee aan George Stander van Leocé wat my ongelooflike mooi pak gemaak het! George, jy het my visie vir hierdie pak 100% n realitiet gemaak. Jou oog vir fyner detail en werkmanskap is finominaal!!!! Dit was n eer gewees om die one of a kind, custom made pak te dra.

Dankie vir almal se boodskappe, DM’s en oproepe.

Ek sal nie hierdie dag nie sommer gou vergeet nie.

It was an incredible honour to create this bespoke wedding gown for another one of my dear friends, Elna (Coetzee) Geerts as she said “I do” in the heart of Rome.

Designed with effortless elegance in mind, this gown was created to complement—not compete with—the timeless beauty of the Eternal City. Clean lines, fluid movement, and understated sophistication allowed the bride to remain the focal point in every unforgettable moment.

Thank you for trusting me with one of the most important dresses you’ll ever wear. Watching your love story unfold against the streets of Rome made every stitch worthwhile.

There is something incredibly special about celebrating motherhood.

Creating this gown for one of my dearest friend, S T É P H A N I J E A N N E as she celebrated another beautiful chapter of motherhood was such an honour.

Layers of soft blush tulle and handcrafted floral details were chosen to reflect the tenderness, joy, and love that surrounded this special day.

Thank you for trusting me to create something so personal for such a meaningful celebration. Watching you wear it so effortlessly was a moment I’ll always treasure.

This gown was created for my beautiful friend, Vanes-Mari Du Toit - woman whose spirit is wild, free, and wonderfully charismatic. Every detail was designed to move with her, to feel effortless, romantic, and timeless, while allowing her vibrant personality to shine through.

Watching someone so dear to me walk into one of life’s most beautiful moments wearing a gown created with so much love was something I’ll never get used to.

One of the things I love most about what I do is the creative journey. There’s something incredibly special about playing with different fabrics, silhouettes, and textures until every element comes together to create something truly unforgettable.

When Tarryn Lamb and ✨sir. approached me for the Valentine’s Under the Stars event, the brief was simple: create a dramatic red gown that would make a statement. With very little time to bring it to life, we decided to think a little differently.

We combined the beautifully beaded bodice of one design with a dramatic full-circle glass Mikado skirt, complete with an elegant cathedral-length train. The result was a timeless silhouette that felt bold, romantic, and effortlessly glamorous.

Watching a design evolve from an idea into something that makes a client feel incredible will always be the most rewarding part of my work.

Tarryn wore this gown with such grace and confidence, she truly brought this look to life. ❤️
