On the 9th of August 1956, Rahima Moosa, Lillian Ngoyi, Helen Joseph, and Sophia Theresa Williams de Bruyn, led the women’s anti-pass march to the Union Buildings in Pretoria.

It was one of the largest demonstrations staged in South African history. Holding thousands of petitions in one hand, they handed over the petitions to Prime Minister Strijdom.

These are the women you need to surround yourself with. The ones who lift others up, the ones that show up when you need them and the ones that are fierce about equality.

We celebrate all brave women.

There was a little kink on the sides. So some steam from the iron and I placed it on my hat stretcher just to make sure the kink does not return.

I’ve pulled it down then will change it to another hat mould to then return it to its poor bit shape.

I just love tweed and of course Nippon. So this one is a treasure worth taking care of.

It’s been a while since I’ve done a post!

So I missed this one and only when chatting with Adheema did I realise she was talking about another, new business, Moon Chocolates

Well we all are chocolate lovers and the scary fact that a couple of brands are replacing real chocolate with lab made chocolate is so scary.

The globe has a natural scale of 1:71,700,000, meaning one inch on the map represents 1,132 statute miles. This globe likely dates to the 1930s or 1940s, a period noted for rapid border changes in Europe and Asia. Cram’s globes from this era often featured cardboard and are known for their historical reference & detail.

So excited to have it in my possession, my precious! Building up my collection of historical Palestine reference and loving finding new pieces that reference history.

Ours is a porcelain Apothocary mortar and pestle with a sizeable pestle for making creating a large batch fine powder.
