✨I don’t know about you, but Jozi and I? We’re not getting along these days.

This rain is a lot. Like… a lot.
And I can feel it creeping in — that quiet homesick feeling.

Back in Belgium, we know how to do grey. Long, moody days? Fine. You light a candle, get cosy, lean into it.
But Jozi? Jozi is made for living outside. Sunshine, movement, energy. Not this endless drizzle.

Everything slows down. Sports get cancelled. Streets turn into rivers. And people? They smile a little less.

So… since I’m feeling a little nostalgic, I thought I’d bring these beauties back into the spotlight 🔥. My Studio Nok Nok collection.

These Belgian-made ear treats are colourful, feather-light, and honestly? A whole mood shift.
You put them on and suddenly it feels like spring again — even when the sky says otherwise.

Cause if you can change the weather, you can always change the vibe!!🌦️

And typically when I post this message the sun decided to stick around for the whole day! 🤪 Karma. Buuuuttt the good thing about these earrings is that you can wear them in every weather condition! Win win 🫶🏽

✨It’s been a little quiet in the studio since our last gathering.

Truth is… it takes me a minute to recharge and get back to 100%. My focus span can be a bit ADHD-ish sometimes. But that’s part of the rhythm of creating.

The good news:
Manny and I are back in the studio, talking again. Dreaming. Plotting the next move.

✨This Nigerian cotton? Hard to get. And yes — Africa is a continent, not a country. Logistics are an adventure. DHL sometimes feels like it travels by donkey and prayer.

And the feel of that fabric?? 👀
She’s not an easy girl. Stiff at first. Structured. A little “who do you think you are?”

You have to wear her. Wash her. Live in her. Smooth things out.

The patterns are hand-drawn and hand-dyed — perfectly imperfect. No copy-paste nonsense.

But if you dare to risk it?
She softens. She molds. She becomes yours.💖
Still bold. Still a little grinchy.

✨I don’t do basic.

Some pictures don’t need a lot of explanation. When you slip into this Nigerian hand-dyed combo, basic isn’t even invited. It’s one of those sets that does the talking for you — bold, effortless, street smart or classique chique.

You put it on and bam 💥 Presence.
No overstyling. No overthinking.

Very convenient for a mom of three who’s always on the run…not so ? 😅

✨The story of me and is actually hilarious!!

So I’m in Cape Town.
Romanticising my future studio.
Building my little empire with Merci Marie + African brands I love.

I see espadrilles. I lose my mind and decide to call the owner.
( Yep that’s me: A delusional Belgian running on audacity 👀😆).

I tell her:
“I want to sell your shoes in my studio. And maybe even at pop-ups in Belgium.”

Silence.I reconsider my entire existence 😶‍🌫️…

Then she replies:
“Oh wow… what a coincidence. I live in Belgium now. Moved during Covid.”

Excuse me WHAT?

2.5 hours later we’re still on the phone.
Bonding. Dreaming. Oversharing.
Until — “Sorry, I have to fetch the kids.”
Of course. Different continents, same mompreneur hustle.

She has the shop I secretly wish I’ll ever have in Belgium. (Ok now I guess it’s not so secret anymore 👀)

It’s such a beautiful shop. But honestly she’s the magic. I truly admire everything about her.
Belgium, you’re lucky.

Now she just needs to work on her Dutch 😂😂😂.

Ok and can we talk about that Nigerian Adire top she picked from my studio?
I named her the Adi top. Its the details that matter. MERCI. 🙌🏾
