The Veiled Ancestor

She arrives before the storm. Veiled in shadow, her form both concealed and amplified, she is a moving horizon. The cloth does not drape; it remembers.

Repurposed from the Fundudzi Spring/Summer 2009 collection, the garment is reworked and reinforced, extending its life while honouring its origin. Structured bands across the body hold her in place, as if containing a force older than form itself.

She is not of the present moment; she is continuity made visible. Where she walks, something returns.
