Pictures from the Thuthuka Jewellery Awards, one of our wonderful clients. A record number of jewellery pieces have been entered from around the country and will be on show from 1 March - 12 March 2017 at the Faculty of Art, Design & Architecture (FADA) gallery at the University of Johannesburg. The 68 exhibition pieces were selected from more than 200 entries from eleven institutions. The programme introduces contemporary design skills to institutions across the country with the aim of addressing some of the disparities resulting from faculties that do not have the capacity to offer design as a major subject. The year-long programme culminates in the Thuthuka Jewellery Awards, an annual competition that provides a national platform for student jewellers to have their work professionally showcased.
