In 2017 I met a strong and vibrant woman who joined KTH Clothing and brought with her a passion and strength I have never known. Two years later, at 6am on the 3rd of August 2020 she was brutally murdered. Hlengiwe leaves behind her a daughter of 4, and a son of 8 months.

Hlengiwe “Pearl” Msimango and I met when I was looking for a manager for my ladies clothing boutique. I was instantly struck be her charisma and presence. Within two weeks she had infused the shop with grace and style. Hlengiwe and I formed a close bond from the beginning, at the time she was a mother to a new baby girl similar in age to my son. I had a profound respect for her work ethic and hunger to achieve more and more each day. Over the next two years we had spent nearly every day together, sharing stories of motherhood and navigating personal challenges. Even after my store closed, we kept in close contact and shared many special occasions together.

On the 3rd of August, I received the most devastating call, Hlengiwe had been shot. I couldn’t believe that something like this could happen, I thought it must be a mistake. I called her number, begging her to answer the phone.

Hlengiwe's boyfriend (and the father of her 8 month old) has been arrested and is currently being held at the Kempton Parks SAPS.

I have set up an account for any contributions to support Hlengiwe’s family and children. If you knew Hlengiwe or if you would like to help, any donations would be very much appreciated. All contributions will be documented, and proof of funds are available if you have any concerns.

Domestic violence against women and femicide is an attack on each of our mothers, sisters, daughters and wives.
We need to stop these senseless killings.

It’s with a very heavy heart as I write this and make the announcement that we will be closing our doors. 💔

After 18 years in the business I () the very proud owner of KTH Clothing have decided to take a break to spend time with my little family. In the the last 5 years I have met and married my soulmate who is the most unbelievable man and has stood by me through all my decisions. We have since had 2 beautiful children who are now 2 and a half and 4 months old. I value this precious time I have with them and unfortunately I am unable to travel to buy stock and give the shop 100% as well as look after my beautiful children at home.

In saying that, KTH Clothing was my first baby and I will without a doubt return to the love and passion I have for fashion and making women feel great about themselves and what they wear!

Thank you to all of YOU! For the support, the love, the laughs, the tears but most of all the friendships I have made.
This is not goodbye but a see you soon for a revamp of your wardrobe 😉
