Omar Gwaza — my “General of Jerry’s,” as I so fondly called you… my heart is broken.

For 30 years, you were part of my life — not just as staff, but as someone I loved like a father. You cared for me, protected me, and stood by me with a loyalty and love I know I will never find again.

You had the softest heart and the kindest soul. You gave so much of yourself without ever asking for anything in return. Your presence brought comfort, your words brought peace, and your love was always felt.

I don’t know how to accept that you’re gone.
This isn’t just a loss… it’s losing someone I truly, deeply loved.

May Allah wrap you in His mercy, grant you Jannatul Firdaus, and reunite us again one day. Ameen.
