Saturdays are for sewing! βοΈπ§΅
For the past two weeks, we've been focusing intensely on pattern making. Today, it was time for garment construction. Because we teach pattern making thoroughly, garment construction becomes much easier for our students to understand and master.
Having taught in both group and one-on-one settings, I can confidently say that individual classes are especially beneficial for students with no prior sewing experience. They have the freedom to ask questions, learn at their own pace, and build confidence every step of the way.
I encourage my students to figure things out on their own, but I'm never far away when guidance is needed.
Today, our youngest student made her very first flared skirt! When I told her she would be making a skirt by herself, she thought it would be mission impossible. Yet there she was, proudly completing it with her own hands.
When I tell you that I have faith in my students, believe me. I see their potential long before they see it themselves, and watching them grow in confidence and skill is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Well done to our young sewing star! Your journey is only beginning, and the future looks incredibly bright. π
