Historically, this town was home to a massive military airbase (Fliegerhorst Doberlug-Kirchhain). After the Berlin Wall fell and Germany reunified, the Bundeswehr took over many of these former East German/Soviet bases. This jacket was likely issued to a firefighter stationed at or associated with that base. A true piece of German military history!
