God's be with South Africa

My heart breaks at the state of our country- as a mother,a daughter,a woman as a human being who has a basic right to live- I am scared.

Truth is,had it not been for Tsontso’a friends and family members bringing awareness about her gone missing, when exactly would we have known that there are SEVEN other female victims found in the same or surrounding areas?!

When would we have found out that there is a possible serial killer on the loose?

And even with all this information- all the warnings are issued to women and children. There’s never stern warnings given to the perpetrators of these heinous crimes.

Clearly jogging during the DAY isn’t safe nor is going to the POST OFFICE or simply going to school, work or even the mall.
Every single day on this earth is a gamble- we never know whose next and that isn’t right.

I pray for our country and its people. I am tired and have no more words- as if women don’t go through enough already, we still have to constantly watch over our backs in fear that We could be next.

And to the men? The good men? The ones who go out of their way to protect and keep us safe,we say thank you. The world needs more of you. WE need you now.
