🇿🇦 CLOSING OFF WOMEN’S MONTH WITH OUR YOUNGEST AMBASSADOR — Tactical Aryana 🇿🇦

As Women’s Month comes to a close, we’re proud to introduce you to our youngest female ambassador, Aryana Osman.

Aryana’s shooting journey began at just 14 years old, when she started shooting PCC. Having grown up around the sport, she was introduced to shooting by her dad, who continues to be a great source of inspiration and encouragement in her journey.

Watching his achievements taught Aryana that commitment, hard work and determination can open the door to achieving big goals.

Today, Aryana competes in the Production Optics Ladies Junior division, and her journey has already taken her to some incredible milestones. From competing at her first Nationals to shooting at her first IPSC Handgun World Shoot in September 2025, she has continued to challenge herself and grow as a competitor.

Zero Mike Bullets has been part of that journey from the very beginning.

Aryana has used Zero Mike Bullets since she first started shooting PCC, relying on their consistency and reliability whether she is training, competing at club level, Nationals, the African Championships or on the international stage.

And her ambitions don't stop there.

🎯 Short-term goal:To earn her provincial colours and secure a place on the team for the next Level IV championship.

🇿🇦 Long-term goal:To earn her South African colours and represent South Africa at the 2029 IPSC Handgun World Shoot in Italy.

As we close out Women’s Month, we’ve had the privilege of sharing the stories of women at different stages of their shooting journeys — each with their own experiences, achievements, challenges and goals.

Aryana’s story is one of a young competitor finding her place in the sport, setting ambitious goals and working towards them one step at a time.

We’re proud to support her journey and look forward to seeing where her dedication and passion take her next.

What began as simple curiosity a few years ago soon developed into a true passion for Janita Page, who has found a sport that continues to challenge, inspire and push her to grow.

Janita competes in IPSC Handgun and has had the opportunity to compete at EGPSA league matches and national competitions. One of the greatest highlights of her shooting journey came in September 2025, when she proudly represented South Africa at the IPSC Handgun World Shoot — an unforgettable experience and a milestone she is incredibly proud of.

Through shooting, Janita has developed discipline, resilience and confidence, while also finding a community of people who have become like family along the way.

Her journey has been supported by Zero Mike Bullets, Canik and Bosrus, and she is grateful to have had their support as she continues to grow and develop in the sport.

For Janita, her message to women considering shooting is simple: don’t let fear or uncertainty hold you back. Shooting is challenging, rewarding and empowering — and you may just discover a passion you never knew you had.

🇿🇦 WOMEN’S MONTH | MEET Marelize Boshoff - IPSC Shooter, known to the little ones as Mama Marelize.

Sometimes, the most unexpected beginnings lead to something that becomes a lasting passion.

For Marelize Boshoff, that journey began in 2021, when she decided to try something completely different.

She could never have imagined that stepping onto the range for the first time would spark such a passion.

But it did.

What started as an opportunity to experience something new quickly became a sport that continues to challenge, motivate and inspire her.

Today, Marelize competes in IPSC Handgun and PCC, embracing everything that makes practical shooting so unique — the combination of speed, precision, strategy and mental focus.

For her, every stage is another opportunity to learn, improve and push beyond her comfort zone.

And that constant pursuit of growth is what keeps bringing her back to the range.

But shooting has given Marelize far more than a sport.

It has helped build her confidence, resilience and discipline, while introducing her to an incredible community of people who support, encourage and challenge one another.

It has become a journey of constant growth — both on and off the range.

And Marelize has an important message for every woman who has ever wondered:

“Is shooting really for me?”

Her answer is simple.

Give it a chance.

Don't be afraid to try something new. Don't worry about not knowing enough. Don't let intimidation stop you.

Everyone starts somewhere.

Shooting has a place for women of all ages and backgrounds, and taking that first step might just reveal strengths you never knew you had.

That first shot could be the beginning of an incredible journey.

Some passions find you early. Others become a part of who you are.

For Dakota, it all started at just 10 years old, when her dad took her to the shooting range simply to have some fun. She was instantly hooked.

What started as a day at the range grew into a passion, a career in competition, and a journey filled with incredible achievements.

Today, Dakota competes in IPSC Handgun – Production Ladies, and her record speaks for itself.

And for anyone thinking about taking that first step onto the range, Dakota's advice is simple:

Just go for it.

Whether you start big or small, whether you choose handgun, shotgun, rifle, or simply shoot for fun — that's exactly what it is supposed to be.

Fun.

Her message to women considering getting involved is just as powerful:

You can beat the men. You can do anything you set your mind to.

Practice will be your best friend, but so will allowing yourself to enjoy every moment of the journey.

Sometimes, the most meaningful journeys begin completely by coincidence.

For Zulfa, her shooting journey started nearly three years ago when she visited a shooting range with her spouse while he was applying for his firearm licence.

What began as an opportunity to familiarise herself with a firearm soon revealed something unexpected — a natural aptitude for precision shooting and, with it, a genuine passion for the sport.

Since then, IPSC has become a journey of continuous learning, personal growth and striving for excellence.

For Zulfa, shooting has taught her the importance of consistency, mental resilience and preparation, while connecting her with a community of people who share the same dedication and passion.

Today, she competes in IPSC Practical Shooting in the Production Optics Division, and her journey has already seen her achieve impressive milestones.

But for Zulfa, the value of the sport extends far beyond rankings and results.

Her approach is simple: every time she steps onto the range is an opportunity to learn, improve and push herself further.

That mindset is particularly meaningful to her as a woman competing in a predominantly male-dominated sport.

“Ladies, don't feel intimidated.”

You don't need to fit a certain stereotype to belong in this sport. With the willingness to learn and the courage to start, you may be surprised by what you are capable of achieving.

As Zulfa says:

“EVERY ACCOMPLISHED SHOOTER STARTED AS A BEGINNER.”

For her, success isn't only about winning. It's about overcoming personal challenges, setting goals, putting in the work and seeing that dedication translate into progress.

Every match brings another opportunity to develop — not only into a stronger competitor, but into a stronger person.

As she continues her journey, Zulfa remains focused on improving her performance, embracing new challenges and representing the values of sportsmanship and excellence in the sport she has come to love.

Meet Chené van der Merwe 🇿🇦

Some women find their passion early in life. Others stumble upon it unexpectedly — and then discover something that changes everything.

For Chené, that journey began in 2018.

One of her very first major experiences in the sport was officiating at the IPSC Level IV Africa Area Championship. While working at the match, she watched Maria Gushchina from Russia compete.

She watched a woman confidently take on — and beat — most of the men.

And something clicked.

It was the moment Chené realised that if Maria could do it, there was absolutely no reason she couldn't strive to do the same.

From that moment, Chené committed herself to becoming better.

She attended as many training sessions as she could with some of South Africa's top coaches, constantly looking for opportunities to learn and improve. She even helped arrange for international fi****ms instructors to visit South Africa, giving local shooters the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the world.

And that dedication would take her to the highest level of the sport.

In 2022, Chené earned her South African Protea colours and had the incredible honour of representing South Africa 🇿🇦 at the IPSC Handgun World Shoot in Thailand, competing in the Production Division.

It remains one of the proudest milestones of her shooting career.

But when you speak to Chené, you quickly realise that her journey is about far more than competition.

In 2023, she became a full-time fi****ms instructor, turning her experience and knowledge into an opportunity to help others.

Today, one of the most rewarding parts of her journey is helping new shooters build strong fundamentals and avoid many of the mistakes she made when she first started.

Because for Chené, if she can make someone else's learning curve a little easier, then she's done her job.

Throughout her shooting career, Chené has also been incredibly fortunate to have amazing people who believed in her and supported her with advice, coaching, equipment and sponsorship.

And becoming a Zero Mike Bullets Brand Ambassador is something she is especially proud of.

For the past three years, she has also had the privilege of sharing this journey with her partner — training, travelling, competing, challenging each other and continuing to learn together.

Because shooting has given Chené so much more than medals and achievements.

It's given her lifelong friendships, unforgettable experiences, incredible opportunities and a sport that constantly pushes her to become a better version of herself.

This Women's Month, we celebrate Chené.

A woman who watched another woman do something extraordinary — and decided that she could do it too.

A Protea.
A competitor.
A fi****ms instructor.
A mentor.
A brand ambassador.
And a woman who is now helping others discover what they're capable of.

Chené's story is a reminder that sometimes, all we need is to see another woman breaking barriers before we realise that we can break them too.

🇿🇦 WOMEN’S MONTH | MEET SASHA 🩷 “SASH” Sasha - Competitive Shooter

Some journeys begin with a plan.

Others begin simply by showing up.

For Sasha, affectionately known as Sash, her IPSC journey began in 2014, when she started attending club shoots with her boyfriend, Garrett.

At first, she was simply there to watch.

Then she decided to give it a try.

After her very first match, she was hooked.

What started as curiosity quickly became a passion — and over the years, that passion grew into a remarkable competitive journey.

In 2018, Sash began pursuing the sport more seriously, dedicating herself to learning, developing her skills and pushing herself further with every match.

Today, she proudly represents South Africa through PSC/SAPSA, the Central Gauteng Practical Shooting Association, and Golden City Shooting Club.

And her list of achievements speaks for itself.

From watching from the sidelines in 2014…

To standing on podiums and representing her country on the world stage.

Sash is proof that sometimes, all it takes is the courage to try something new.

This Women’s Month, we celebrate Sash — her dedication, her resilience, her achievements and the example she continues to set for the women who are following in her footsteps.

Because the journey that started with simply watching…

became a journey worth watching.
