The Quiet Things

I have learned to love the quiet things -
the hush of morning light,
the way a book holds its breathe between pages,
the silence after a storm.

It is in these moments
I find myself again -

The most recent dolls on aliceofafrica.com are four that are part of a collection I've called Coastal Path. The fabrics are mostly designed by Liberty of London, and I've added in some linens and lace. The illustrations of little cottages and pine trees along the coast, remind me of home. It's been so lovely creating this little collection.

I'll be putting my shop on holiday mode tomorrow as I'll be closing my studio door. I'll be spending time with my children, gingerbread dough, good books and lots of beach days :)
(I also get a little nervous about courier orders not arriving on time for Christmas.)

You can find dolls at the stall at the OZ market in Cape Town, the market in St Francis this week, and at in PE.

So much beauty around this time of year. Coastal gardening is a challenge but lavender at least seems to survive! Torn between gardening and doll making at the moment! Spoilt for choice :)

Time for velvet leggings!! Some little dolls dressed for colder weather, are sitting in aliceofafrica.com. They have legs sewn from soft velvet, lovely to cuddle in this cold weather!
