Maxine Willemse was born and raised in Pietermaritzburg, Kwa-Zulu Natal and qualified in Graphic Design from the Durban Technikon and gained experience in the field of advertising and design. From a very young age, Maxine created and made her own clothes, learning pattern cutting and sewing skills from her mother who Graduated from the French Parisian Dress Design School of Fashion.
