The Scrunchie was patented in 1987 by Rommy Revson. She created the first prototype of the Scrunchie because she wanted a gentler version of the metal hair ties used in the 1980s. The name Scrunchie was a natural evolution, because the fabric scrunched up.

All of our scrunchies are locally handmade using only quality upcycled textiles. We select beautiful and original textiles to create each scrunchie. The scrunchies are then carefully crafted and rechecked once complete, with the goal to produce quality over quantity.
