Come and visit my studio blog.

My blog is where I document the work behind the work — drawings, sketchbooks, design, research, ideas, objects, and work that is still developing.

It is not only about the finished piece, but also about the process of looking, thinking, drawing, making, and developing ideas in the studio.

There is always something developing in the studio.

Drawings, objects, clothing, sculpture, design research and the quiet decisions behind the work all form part of one continuing creative practice.

Figure Study - Improving Line Quality and Rhythm | 10 April 2026

Today’s drawing practice continues my study of the human figure through the FORCE approach.

Working from Proko’s Improving Line Quality and Rhythm - FORCE Series Part 1, I concentrated on allowing the line to travel through the figure rather than becoming caught up in small details.

The exercise made me think more carefully about rhythm, movement, weight and how a confident line can connect one part of the body to another.

This is part of my continuing daily drawing practice and ongoing exploration of gesture, structure and the expressive human form.
