Our brand is vibrant, offers versatility and has a vision of women encouraging, applauding and building up each other. Wiesie Clothing offers unique clothing for everyday wear and smart casual wear. The name Wiesie is my mother’s nickname, given to her by her dear family. A traditional Dutch way of pronouncing her christened name, Marie-Louise, (Marie-Lou-wies) later turned into a very short “Wies

ie”. My mother’s love for making my and her own beautiful clothes, has taught me everything I know about colours, fabrics and style. I never missed a trip to our local plaza on a mission to buy material for all the new designs I had already planned. The excitement, together with the absolute love and passion that my mother showed while cutting, measuring and sewing, stirred something in my heart. Too young and naïve to learn to sew myself, today, Wiesie Clothing is my way of paying tribute to my mother and honouring her for her creative talents and sharing it with me. Wiesie Clothing is a proudly South African business with garments manufactured in Cape Town, using quality material to ensure that you are both comfortable and confident. This also adds to the affordability of our garments and therefore offers the opportunity for wholesale or distribution. The business model includes distribution channels across South Africa, including boutiques and sales agents.
