We're heading back to Botswana.
Salt n Silence 2026 — Atlas Gear and These Sweet Times are looking forward to another amazing tour.
Five days. 2100km. Johannesburg to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans and back. Jeep tracks, sand, gravel roads, and two nights camping off-grid directly on the pans. The kind of place where the horizon just stops making sense.
The route runs north through the Waterberg, across the border, out to Kukonje Island and Kubu Island — ancient baobabs rising out of a prehistoric salt flat. Day 3 is 160km of 100% dirt. Lunch under a baobab. You get the idea.
Max 15 riders. Full supported - Meals, accommodation - Paramedic and 4x4 support on the road. Difficulty rated 7/10 — this one's for intermediate riders who are comfortable in sand and loose terrain.
