Never underestimate the value of a full pipeline.

If money is the fuel that drives a business, sales is the fuel pump pushing the money into your business. You know that if you don't fuel your vehicle it goes nowhere.

Yes, all the other stuff is important - cost management, process management, marketing etc. but start with getting the business in at the right price and everything else becomes exponentially less complex.

One thing that I know for sure, deep in my bones, is that entrepreneurship is not for 'sissies'. Especially is you mean to make a deep and meaningful connection with people and bring about positive change in this world.

Showing up for your team, your customers and everybody around you can take both a physical and mental toll because it isn't the 'fun' stuff that makes a real difference.

So on this day, I wish all my fellow entrepreneurs, business leaders and change-makers strength, patience and peace of mind. It is the little things that count.

A sage piece of advice a very good friend gave me, "It happens slowly, bit by bit until it doesn't".

I had lunch with 2 good customers this week and I find it very interesting that they both mentioned that one of the key differentiators between successful people and unsuccessful people is that the successful people understand what it means to care (not only about other people, but themselves as well).

I think what a lot of us forget is that human beings are 'animals' too and that by design, we are 'herd animals' which means that we need other people to achieve anything great. In saying that though, for our 'herd' to thrive we must not forget that as individuals we are just as important to the success of the 'herd'.
