Part 3 of my Upcycling Series: when art gets a second life .

I found this beautiful embroidered canvas inspired by Les Glaneuses (The Gleaners) by Jean-François Millet and immediately saw its potential… not as a piece to hang on a wall, but as something I could carry with me every day.

With a linen lining and a gorgeous velvet back, this forgotten textile has been transformed into a unique bag — a piece with history, texture and a story of its own.

And the best part? It is now my new work bag… or my “anything” bag. Because if you are anything like me, you can never have too many bags! 😉

This is what I love about upcycling: looking beyond what something is and imagining what it could become.

I recently spotted a sign that read:

"I am nicer when I like my outfit."

It made me smile because there is so much truth in it.

When we dress intentionally, we're not being superficial. We're creating conditions that help us feel more like ourselves. We stand a little taller, smile a little more, and often show up with more confidence, energy, and kindness.

Our clothes don't change who we are, but they can influence how we experience ourselves and the world around us.

That's the beauty of intentional dressing. It's less about impressing others and more about asking:
How do I want to feel today?
Who do I want to be today?
