Breeth was founded by Marc, whose journey began during a moment of discomfort and reflection in the pandemic. Sitting on a flight between Cape Town and Johannesburg, managing health risks with an immune-compromising condition, he realised something deeply important:

What we wear every day should support our wellbeing, not work against it.

What started as frustration with synthetic materials and discomfort evolved into a reimagining of clothing through comfort, health, craftsmanship, and intentional design.

Drawing from his background in construction and engineering, Marc approached garments differently, designing for performance, longevity, and the wearer’s experience. The result is Breeth: a natural-first brand built around thoughtful materials, considered construction, and everyday comfort you can truly feel.

But more than clothing, Breeth is a return to values often lost in fast fashion: quality, craftsmanship, care, and integrity.

These socks did.

Designed through months of prototyping and worn by customers who refused to wear anything else, they became one of the most-loved pieces we’ve ever made.

But our Coolmax manufacturer has left South Africa, so we cannot reproduce this quality.

As Breeth moves further into a natural-first future, this chapter comes to an end.
