I Recently Investigated A Case Exactly Like This. The Scammer Impersonated Someone, Avoided Video Calls, Gave Excuses, And Then Tried To Get Money. This Is Happening A Lot On Facebook Lately.
Protect Yourself
If Someone Messages You From A “New Account,” Don’t Trust It Immediately.
Always Request A Video Call To Confirm Identity.
Never Send Money To Someone You Haven’t Verified.
Report Any Suspicious Accounts Directly To Facebook.
