Environmental awareness, ethical trading and integrity also underpin the label’s philosophy. Sitting Pretty is particular about sourcing natural fibres and does not mass produce. All garments are designed and manufactured locally and ethically in Cape Town.

🤎 A blouse for any occasion (or shopping excuse).

This season we have leaned into blouses, and honestly we cannot pick a favourite. Soft natural fibres, relaxed fits, sleeves that work tucked or loose. Some made for layering under a knit, others happy to sit solo with denim.

Each one quietly earns its place. Whether it is the frill neck, the tie up, the mandarin collar, or the oversized linen, there is something for the way you actually get dressed.

The cheapest item in your wardrobe might be the most expensive one you own.

Cost per wear is the simplest way to work out what a garment is really costing you. Take the price you paid, divide by the number of times you have worn it, and the truth comes out fast.

A trend piece that pills after ten wears costs more per wear than a natural fibre piece you reach for every week, every season, for years.

This is why we only use natural fibres. Why we have worked with the same local makers since 2009. Why we design for time rather than trend cycles.

Same Bow pants, different sizes, short or tall, the fit sits differently.

We currently size from 30 to 40, depending on the style. Getting this right matters because everybody should be able to feel confident, comfortable and considered in what they wear.
