Pitter Patter Hire is officially LIVE!

We’re so excited to finally launch Pitter Patter Hire, making travelling with little ones in Zimbabwe that little bit easier.

For now, our hire range won’t be live on the website while we work behind the scenes to create a proper booking system that makes checking availability and reserving your items simple.

In the meantime, if you’re visiting Zimbabwe, have family or friends coming to stay, or simply need baby equipment for a short period, please contact Pitter Patter directly to enquire about what we have available and make a booking.

From travel cots and highchairs to car seats, prams and other essentials — hire what you need, when you need it, without having to buy or travel with bulky baby gear.

Our snack shelves are packed with choices for little (and not-so-little!) appetites, from everyday lunchbox favourites to organic options and snacks catering for a variety of dietary requirements.

Some products earn their place at Pitter Patter because we’ve tried them, tested them and trusted them with our own children and Puddle Jumpers are one of those products.

They’ve been part of our own family’s pool days and holidays, helping my little ones feel more confident and comfortable in the water. And that matters to us, because we don’t stock products simply because they’re popular, we stock products we genuinely believe in and would happily use ourselves.

Of course, no swimming aid ever replaces close adult supervision, but when it comes to our children in the water, Puddle Jumpers are something our family knows and trusts.

Our website is there to make shopping with us as simple as possible, and the best part? It never closes.

Browse our ranges, see what’s available, choose your colour, size, style or character, add to your basket and checkout, whenever it suits you.

So, what happens once you’ve ordered?

During our normal working hours, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, we aim to have website orders packed and ready within approximately two hours wherever possible.

Once your order is ready, you’ll receive a WhatsApp message from us with the relevant collection or delivery information, so there’s no need to check in beforehand. 🤍

Weekends work a little differently.
Our website remains open and you’re very welcome to place orders, but weekend collections are by prior arrangement only.

As a small, owner-run business, we’ll always do our very best to get your order into your hands as quickly as we can, while balancing the little humans behind Pitter Patter too. 🥰

And remember the website is designed to show you the choices available. If there are different sizes, colours, styles or characters, simply select exactly what you want before adding it to your basket.

Back to school tomorrow… but how are the parents feeling?

The uniforms are (hopefully!) ready, lunchboxes are waiting, alarms are being set… and just like that, another school holiday is over.

And perhaps that’s worth sitting with for a moment.

Because in the chaos of entertaining children, juggling work, breaking up arguments, finding snacks and hearing “Mum!” approximately 400 times a day 😂, it’s very easy to count down until school goes back.

But that was another holiday with them.

Another little piece of their childhood that’s already been and gone. And when you really think about it, we only get so many school holidays while they’re still little enough to want to spend them with us.

Maybe tomorrow brings a sigh of relief. Maybe it feels emotional. Maybe your little one is starting somewhere new. Or perhaps you’re just wondering where on earth the last few weeks went.

At Pitter Patter, we spend a lot of time talking about what our children need, but parenting is about the people raising them too.

So today, no product. No sales pitch. Just a little reminder to appreciate the time we’ve had, even amongst the chaos.
