We are temporarily not accepting walk-in appointments.

Due to the overwhelming amount of jobs we've received over the past couple months, we are needing to manage our time just a bit more tightly to ensure we can complete jobs in a timely manner. This means only allowing a limited number of appointments each week, and to do that we can't accept walk-ins.

We are still accepting garments for alterations and repairs, so please feel free to request an appointment through our website, or send us a message through Facebook or Instagram.

This is just a temporary measure for now as we hope to be on top of the workload soon. Thank you to all our clients who have been so patient and understanding with us as we try to get our footing amongst an ever increasing workload.

My first make of the year!

So far I haven't done very well trying to make myself one thing a month out of my personal stash, but this is a start! I didn't have a set plan on what I wanted for these shorts, just that I wanted a pair of denim shorts.

I'm so happy I went with the buttonhole closure as I think it adds some beautiful detail at the front, and doing all the topstitching detail is always so much fun! My favourite part though is the bias binding on the inside, it just looks so pretty!

So what do you think of these shorts? And what should I make next?

A different kind of alteration, but still great results!

This client didn't like the sleeves and hood on their jumper, so I removed them and turned it into a vest that's perfect for the cooler weather.

The final form of this jumper looks fantastic and our client was very happy.

We're creating a featured brands section in our studio ✨

This section will feature Australian small businesses with a commitment to sustainability. I'm so proud to support these businesses, and we make an effort to try out the products first so we can stand behind our recommendations. This is a part of our commitment to sustainability plan, which involves helping people who also have this passion to support other people with the same vision. ❤️

If you have a business like this, or you know of one you think we should feature, feel free to send us a message!

I'm so excited to announce that our studio is expanding!

In the 8 months we've been at we have had so much support and demand for our services that we are squeezing into our current space. So when the opportunity presented itself to take over the shop next door, we had to take it.

We're not leaving the Mill, in fact this place has been exactly what we needed, which is why we're so excited for this opportunity. Shop 10 will become our new space for fittings, bookings, and products, and shop 11 will be our studio workspace.

We'll be working on the new space from March 1st and will be announcing the unveiling as soon as we can!

With this new change, we'll also be adopting a new pricing system, one with less guesswork in your garment alterations and more consistency so you'll know what to expect from us - in both our pricing and our quality garment alterations and repairs.

We can't wait to share this new space with you! Thank you all for the amazing support for our business, and we hope to keep offering you high quality and sustainable garment solutions for years to come!

Repaired and ready to re-wear!

For this repair, we reinforced the damaged material with interfacing and used our machine to darn over the damaged fabric. This allowed us to restitch the belt loops back on and voila! All fixed and ready for more life!

Another gorgeous formal dress! ✨

For this dress, we only shortened the front of the skirt to keep the length in the back. And we also made a matching scrunchie with the off cuts.

Fast fashion means that things are made fast.

I know, crazy right?! But it also means that sometimes there are flaws in our clothing, such as too little fabric in the seam allowance, that means our clothes fall apart quickly - no matter how much you pay for them. If it's made in a factory, they can't slow down to make sure every seam is perfect.

Fortunately this is a simple fix, and the sooner you get the garment in for repair, the less damage will occur.

This top suffered from this issue and began to fray, but we were able to undo the seam and tuck the material in enough that it won't come apart again. In some cases, interfacing or fray check is used to ensure that the seam is secure.

So no need to toss these garments or send them back, fix it so your garment gets lots of wear.

Yes, we can fix your belt loops!

This back belt loop was incredibly worn, in fact it was in two pieces - no holding a belt there! So we were able to remove the damaged loop and replace it with a brand new one.

Overtime, this dye on this loop will wear like the rest of the jeans and you'll never know it was replaced.

I love a good garment repair!
