My girls are in Chicago, representing South Coast Brides & Heartland Brides as buyers at the International Bridal Market. ✈️🇺🇸👰‍♀️

Watching these two step into an international industry, meet with designers and brands from around the world, and represent our stores makes me incredibly proud.

They may be young, but they are smart, capable, hardworking and already so well respected within the bridal industry. They know our brides, they know our stores, and most importantly, they know what makes a beautiful gown worth bringing home to serve you with.

I’m so proud of the women you are becoming and everything you’re achieving. ❤️

A little update from us 🤍

For the next three weeks, we’ll be operating by appointment only while we navigate a rather unusual amount of staff leave all at once!

Firstly, all existing appointments are absolutely fine and will go ahead as booked. 🤍

Behind the scenes, we have a lot happening at the moment:

✈️ Two of our team are heading overseas to attend the international bridal shows in Chicago followed for a wedding in Toronto and a week in NYC!
🎓 One team member is completing her university placement
🤍 One team member is commencing eight weeks of medical leave
🩹 And I’m currently dealing with my own facial injury, which has unfortunately now developed a staph infection.

It’s certainly all happening at once!

We’ll be doing everything we can to keep things running as normally as possible, but with limited staff, there may be times over the next three weeks when we simply can’t operate our usual opening hours.

So please, book an appointment before making a special trip to see us, and forgive us if you happen to pop by without one and find the doors locked.

We’re still here, we’re still helping brides, and your booked appointments are safe - we just need a little flexibility while our team gets through a very busy few weeks.

Me: "Only psychopaths put their face in running shower water Dr Starr so that's no problem for me"

Surgeon: "ah-ha, I see 😂"

If you don't laugh you'll cry...wish me luck. 10 days of antibiotics before decision time 🤦🏻‍♀️

In GOOD TIMING (!!) we have quite a few staff away at the moment so Yours Truly will be on deck serving beautiful brides every day for the next 3 weeks - please excuse the nose bandage! 🤦🏻‍♀️ and if you want ME to be the one to take care of you - book now!

I did what I wanted to do, what I set out to do. 8 years ago when I opened my business I knew from that first year that one day I wanted to earn this award. It took me 8 years but I did it. Outstanding Business Leader 2026. I always just want to show my girls that they can do anything with consistency and showing up and being flexible and trying your best and always defaulting to kindness and support.
