A Gold Coast Marathon throwback!

Back in 1983, the Runners Shop team hired out a race clock for the . Just before the gun, the clock refused to start! Co-owner Robert Beardslee had to scramble up a ladder to get it running manually.

With zero warm-up, a literal jump-start off the ladder, and a quick comfort stop along the way, he still managed to claim 3rd place in the Half Marathon with an incredible time of 1:13:34! 🥉

Talk about holding down the fort under pressure!

Best of luck to everyone heading up to the Gold Coast this weekend for this iconic festival!

Huge Congratulations to our team member Matt Wring for earning the Six Star Medal for completing the Abott World Marathon Majors!!
Matt completed Boston in just over 3 hrs to round out the Abbotts 6!
He also completed Sydney last year....
There is No stopping him as he heads to UTA this weekend...
