Meet the crew behind LJ Covers!

We’ve had a few new faces join us lately, so we thought it was time to introduce the team helping keep the LJ Covers workshop moving.

Kayden & Zac – our two new Manufactured Textile Products Apprentices. They’re learning the trade, building their skills and getting plenty of hands-on experience along the way.

Shane – one of our experienced Textile Fabricators, bringing over 18+ years of knowledge and experience to the team, and a key part of getting our jobs fabricated and out the door.

Dennis – another of our experienced Textile Fabricators with a lifetime of skill and experience.

Connor – our new guy! He’s jumped into workshop life and is learning how we do things at LJ Covers.

Regan – our Factory Assistant, helping the team across the workshop and keeping things moving behind the scenes.

Nevaya – our Junior Office Assistant, helping keep the administration side of LJ Covers organised and supporting the team behind the scenes. She missed out on being in this team photo, but she’s definitely part of the crew!

We’re pretty proud of the team we’re building.

There’s a lot more to industrial textile manufacturing than most people realise, and bringing apprentices into the business is especially important to us. The skills in this trade have to be passed on somehow — and the best way to learn them is still the old-fashioned way: on the factory floor, working alongside experienced fabricators and actually making things.

Different ages, different experience levels and plenty of personalities — but one team getting the job done.

We’re looking forward to seeing what this team can achieve together.

🥊 FIGHT NIGHT READY — LJ COVERS DELIVERS! 🥊

Tonight’s Matchroom fight is ready to go, and we’re pretty proud to see another complete boxing kit manufactured, printed and finished by LJ Covers.

For this event, our team produced the full package:

🥊 Custom boxing canvas
🥊 Printed rope covers
🥊 Corner pads
🥊 Turnbuckle covers
🥊 Rope dividers
🥊 Ring skirts
🥊 Full custom printing and branding

This one came with a seriously tight deadline, like extremely tight — but when we commit to an event, we get it done.

We worked our butts off to get everything across the line, including a full day in the factory with no power due to maintenance in the business park. Between the rain and howling wind outside, we couldn’t even open the doors properly, and at one point it took a full 5 minutes just to move them 5mm using the chains. A noisy generator, a lamp, plenty of determination and absolutely no intention of missing the deadline kept production moving.

Not exactly ideal manufacturing conditions… but the show doesn't wait for the power company. 😂

From artwork and printing through to fabrication and final assembly, there is a huge amount of work behind a complete professional boxing setup.

A massive effort from everyone involved to get this one finished, packed and ready on time for tonight's fight.

Casual Factory Hand – Industrial Textile Manufacturing

LJ Covers is a growing Australian-owned industrial textile manufacturing business based in Redland Bay. We manufacture high-quality textile products for commercial, industrial, agricultural, mining, construction, transport and government clients across Australia.

We're looking for a reliable Casual Factory Hand who isn't afraid of hard work and wants to become part of a close-knit team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position in a busy manufacturing workshop where no two days are the same. You'll be assisting our production team with the manufacture of heavy-duty textile products including industrial covers, liners, curtains, tarpaulins and specialised fabricated products.

Duties Include

- Assisting our fabricators with production tasks
- Rolling out, measuring and handling large PVC and textile fabrics
- Lifting and moving fabric rolls and finished products
- Working on the factory floor preparing materials
- Cleaning and maintaining the workshop
- Packing and preparing orders for dispatch
- General factory duties as required
- Following safe work procedures and maintaining a clean, organised work environment

What We're Looking For

- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual and honest
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling and lifting heavy fabric rolls
- Comfortable working on your feet throughout the day
- Committed to following workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Takes pride in producing quality work
- No previous experience is required – full training will be provided to the right person with the right attitude.
- Must present fit for work at all times. LJ Covers has zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

🚀 Our new LJ Covers website is now live!

After plenty of planning, designing and refining, we are excited to officially launch the new LJ Covers website.

The site better reflects who we are, what we manufacture and the wide range of custom textile solutions we provide across industrial, commercial, transport, agriculture, construction, caravan, camping and outdoor applications.

It is still a work in progress, with more pages, products, projects and industry information being added regularly — but we are pleased to finally have it live and ready to explore.

Leah walked into the workshop today and asked the team,

"Why hasn't the camo trailer canopy been started yet?"

The boys replied,

"It has been."

Leah looked around the workshop...

"Well... I can't see it!" 👀😂

Safe to say the camouflage is doing exactly what it's supposed to do.

What an incredible journey it has been.
Just two years ago we started in a garage with one rickety old machine, a big dream, and plenty of determination. Today we're proud to be manufacturing custom industrial textile solutions from our facility in Redland Bay.

We've had the privilege of working with amazing customers across Australia, fabricating everything from industrial covers, liners and curtains to mining products, marquees, sporting equipment, caravan covers, boxing canvases and so much more.

This heavy-duty tarp using Canvacon is being reinforced before the eyelets are installed, and includes rope edge, adding strength where it matters most and helping the finished product handle demanding conditions.
