Rustic Revival

Rustic Revival Creating one of a kind, bespoke pieces of Furniture Art. Rustic Revival was created out of a desire to step lightly on Mother Earth. The list goes on!

Vintage homewares, all things gardening, beautiful flowers, rescue animals and a love of the natural world. HQ is my Farm Studio in Somerville, on Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula. We restore and recycle forgotten and unloved pieces of Vintage furniture, using different materials such as chalk and mineral paint, milk paint, wallpaper, stencilling, decoupage papers and more. Each piece is an origin

al design, inspiration coming from looking at the shape, era and thinking about colour and texture. We don't stick to a particular style or era. We like to mix it up, and take direction from that individual piece. Good bones, quality and something "a bit diffferent" is what we look for when sourcing our pieces. Rustic Revival also designs and creates furniture out of recycled timber and steel. This may be in the form of a sideboard, TV console, bedside tables, kitchen island bench, dining tables. Rustic Revival currently has a retail space in Tyabb, on Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula. Located in "The Vintage Shed" you will find a selection of different vintage furniture styles and homewares, Pali Baskets and bespoke pieces. The Vintage Shed

Morning! I have a question for you. I don’t do AI. The environmental impact is so questionable for me. Part of my business model (actually a massive part of it!) is the responsibility for stepping as lightly as I can on Mother Earth. Am I behind the times? My sister suggested I put it out there to you guys. Ask your opinion. For me, I guess I feel my furniture speaks for itself. Do I need that extra zing I see so many people using? ( no judgement at all!!! I respect everyone’s decision to do what is right for them 🙌🏼)
I’m a basic human. A firepit, a couple of bevvies, good company and tunes. Do I need AI? Is there something ethical out there I can use without feeling really uncomfortable with using it?
Feel free to hit me with your opinions and any advice on ethical practices and AI.
I’ve included two photos with AI and to be honest, while I appreciate it’s good seeing them in different settings, I’m just not sure I want or need it. 🧐

I wish I could draw like this 🤣🤣 This is a mint decoupage paper, I’m just adding to it. I absolutely cannot draw to save myself. I’m a stick figures artist, my son is the artist in our family. Thought I should clarify as a few people asked. Thankyou for thinking I’m capable of being an epic artist 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🤣

After spending the last 5 days in bed, (thankyou Flu, I haven’t been sick like that in 18 years!) I’ve really enjoyed mindfully painting Leo. I’m nearly there and then this piece is ready to go!!!!!!!!
