This is an antique pressed glass compote, "Tassel and Crest" (also known as Nova) pattern, produced by the Riverside Glass Works between 1881 and 1890.
It features a distinctive Maltese Cross finial on the lid.
The elaborate pressed glass pattern includes interlocking ovals and vertical ribbed sections.
