Somewhere along the way, Latin dance got a very strong expression through short skirts, beautiful and sometimes extravagant cutouts and of course fringe. There's a real history and reason behind why, but the feel of the dance was never about how much skin you show. π
The movement comes from the hips, frame, and footwork, and proper dancewear can highlight all these parts without exposure. π Dancers should be the ones deciding how much spice to add to the dance image - not be dictated by the outfit.
Here is one of such dance outfits that give you the freedom of choice: πAleta Skirt + β€οΈ Drift Top/Throw - both adjustable to your liking: Aleta's tie pulled up for the figures that want it, left down when they don't, Drift layered over top or worn on its own with more or less covered shoulder.
Same Latin energy on the dancefloor - you're just choosing your version of it.
