Some beach treasures from today 🌊🌟🏴‍☠️
Originally I picked up the plastic because plastic on the beach 🤮 but it turns out it’s a sample long line float from a Vietnamese company that probably felll off a line from a Japanese or Korean deep sea fishing boat. It likely travelled 10,000 miles over 3-5 years in the ocean to get to French Beach. It was also probably part of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch at some point too 😕 It’s an interesting find and I’m glad it’s not on the beach anymore to turn into microplastics.
