So the birds I was stitching are all finished & made into cushions. Sadly I don't have a picture of the kingfisher as it sold last night at & has flown of to a new home already!

So a few days before Coburg House & ofcourse I think its a good idea to start stitching some new cushions.
Here's how it begins with a base of tweed layered up with silk organza & now to get sewing.
You'll need to make it along this weekend to see if I get them finished or maybe I will still be sewing them together as you walk round the building !!

Today I will be mostly stitching this beauty. A Yanguna Cometes butterfly for Coburg House exhibition.

This is how it starts with an organza base pinned to the rough shape on tweed. I then pick threads & just get stitching.
Must stop procrastinating & get on with it, wish me luck.

Been looking for an excuse to make up this 1760 strapless stay pattern.
Hot pink is just right & then need to bind the top edge & get eyelets in it. Will be decorating it in some way but not sure what yet!
