The Great British Sewing Bee
Firstly thank you to the lovely bees emma_sewprano and stitchy_rebecca for visiting us at Edinburgh Fabrics yesterday. We were a little short staffed due to sickness but hope the team sorted you out.
As always if you’ve not watched it yet don’t read on.
I really liked the pattern challenge. It felt like a genuine test of all the skills, especially because it’s not a common item that people would necessarily have made before.
Loved all the tweeds and apart from a few minor issues they all did really well.
Was delighted for Beth who came first, I feel like she’s been slowly growing in confidence every week. We’ve got plenty of lovely Herringbone Harris Tweeds if you want to give it a go yourself.
The transformation challenge was really inventive, they all made such varying garments, to a high standard.
The final garments were amazing, I loved them all. Was so pleased for Beth, winning garment of the week, you could tell it meant a lot to her. I definitely think she deserved it this week.
Was very sad to see stitchy_rebecca leave, she’s been great all the way through, so talented.
As always so pleased that our lovely customer emma_sewprano is through to next week.
