We aim to give our customers a choice of well established brands such as Hunter, Aku and Hanwag and also relatively less well known brands to the UK such as Dude, Boreal and Salewa , making us just that little bit different. Being a small independent company gives us the freedom to choose only brands and styles we have one hundred percent confidence in, meaning we love what we sell and that shows in our customer service and the technical knowledge we have on our products.

An honest review of the Lowa Explorer Gtx

https://thekeswickbootco.co.uk/product/lowa-explorer-gtx-mid

I wanted to share some feedback on the Lowa Explorer GTX boots I bought in May. These were bought with the purpose of using them in the Italian Dolomites in July.

They performed well, in fact better than I thought they might. I was a little concerned as the outer sole was not very hard and the overall feel of the sole softer than I would normally go for in a boot. I did think I was going to feel the rocks to much through the sole despite a good week using them in Yorkshire. In fact in the dolomites I didn't notice the softer sole at all. I used them on long day treks and via ferrata (see images) and they were comfortable for both. Grip was good on via ferrata and I had confidence that they would not slip.

They have taken some damage to the midsole/cushion due to rock abrasion and I am not sure how long they might last as the dolomites are extremely tough on boots. Overall I am very happy with them.
