It’s been so relentlessly grey lately. The kind of weather that makes everything feel a bit flat.

Which is exactly why I’ve been reaching for more colour, not less. Bright, playful, mood-lifting pieces that feel like a small but powerful shift.

Dressing in colour won’t change the forecast… but it does change the feeling 🌈

For a long time, pink was seen as the stronger colour.
It was thought to be bold, decisive and a version of red.
Blue, on the other hand, was considered soft, calm, delicate.

Then, sometime in the mid-20th century, it flipped.
Not because kids changed, but because marketing did.

And once colours were labelled, they stuck.
Shops, toys, clothes, expectations.
All built around an idea we now treat like it’s always been true.

But kids don’t come pre-programmed with colour rules.
They just know what feels good.
What feels fun.
What feels them.

So we choose colour, all of it.
Without boxes. Without rules.
Just clothes that let kids show up exactly as they are.

Just strolling through London on a grey day, trying to film some B-roll (because January social media really has fallen off a cliff)…
and then I spot this.

A small but genuinely magical scene: parrots, squirrels, pigeons and magpies all eating breakfast together.

If you squint and ignore the plastic grass, it’s basically a low-budget Disney moment.

Thank you for being here while Rowdy Robin took shape.
At the start of 2025 it was just sketches, fabric samples and a lot of late-night “will this work?” conversations.
Now it’s real clothes, real orders, and a brand that finally feels like itself.

We’re so grateful for everyone who’s followed along so far, and really excited about where 2026 might take us.

Two things -
🎤Lip syncing is hard
✨These eye patches have me looking like I’ve had a good night’s sleep (I have two jobs and a toddler.)

‘Unstoppable… no, unstable’ feels about right for this years Christmas run-up.

This is our first festive sprint as a small business and I’m sending solidarity to everyone crawling, power-walking or laughing maniacally towards the end of the year… especially if you’re juggling a lot and holding it all together with vibes.

We’ve got this. Probably. 🎄✨

Proof that taste is subjective 🎄

Slowly sourcing things we actually love — for our tree, our home, and our family’s wardrobe. Secondhand or thoughtfully made. Chosen with intention, kept for a long time, and never rushed just because it’s “the season”.

We hired a village hall, brought some food, let the kids run wild and everyone helped make it festive.
Not everyone has family nearby. So we made our own.
Nothing fancy. Everything important.
