Four years of Little Gamekeeper 🤎🌿
Four years ago, we started Little Gamekeeper because we wanted to create clothing for little gamekeepers — practical, hard-wearing clothes that they could actually wear out on the shoot, get muddy in, grow up in and make memories in. 🥾🦌
Along the way, I’ve also shared snippets of our own life on here. The countryside, the kids, the muddy boots, the shoots, the wildlife and all the little moments that make up the life behind the brand.
For four years, we’ve been lucky enough to share that with you without much negativity at all.
Until yesterday.
Waking up this morning to so many comments questioning and criticising our way of life and what we choose to do with our children was certainly a reminder that when you put your life online, not everyone will see things the same way.
And that’s okay.
We don’t expect everyone to live like us. We don’t expect everyone to agree with us. And we certainly don’t feel the need to defend ourselves to people who don’t know us.
We simply share our life.
The life that inspired Little Gamekeeper in the first place.
A life where the kids get muddy. Where they spend time outdoors. Where they learn about the countryside, wildlife and where their food comes from. Where they get to experience things, ask questions, get involved and, most importantly, enjoy being children. 🌿
If that’s not for you, that’s absolutely fine.
But after four years of building Little Gamekeeper, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve created — and we’re even prouder of the little people who have inspired it every step of the way. 🤎
So we’ll carry on doing what we do.
Creating clothes for little gamekeepers. Sharing the life behind the brand. Making memories. Getting muddy. And letting our children experience the countryside in their own way.
We don’t need everyone to understand it.
We just need to know that it’s right for us. 🤎
Thank you to everyone who has supported Little Gamekeeper over the last four years. You mean more than you know. 🦌🌿
